How to remove coffee stains from a carpet

What you’ll need:

  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Cold water
  • Dish soap
  • Small bowl.
  • A light-colored towel or rag
  • Wet/dry vacuum

Step 1: Blot the stain

If you’ve just spilled coffee on your carpet in Dubai, act quickly. First, blot up as much liquid as possible with a cloth, rag, or paper towel. To prevent the liquid from spreading, work from the outside inward. Blot up the liquid rather than rubbing it into the carpet. After absorbing the liquid, dab the stain with a small amount of cold water to dilute it.

Step 2: Use a cleaning solution

If blotting does not work properly, you will need to create a cleaning solution. In a small mixing bowl, combine 1/2 teaspoon dish soap and 1 cup hydrogen peroxide. Apply the liquid cleaning solution to the spot with a sponge or a light-colored cloth. Allow the solution to settle on the stain for 5–10 minutes. Once the solution has had a chance to perform its magic, use a clean towel or paper towel to absorb both the coffee and the cleaning solution. Most carpets include a solution dye; therefore, they will not discolor with hydrogen peroxide. If you’re unsure, try a small, hidden area before treating the stain.

Step 3: Use a wet vacuum

If the first soak in the cleaning solution does not remove the entire stain, you will need to take it up a notch. Pour the cleaning solution over the stain, making sure to soak the entire area. Leave it on the stain for 10 minutes, then use your wet/dry vacuum’s wet setting to remove all of the liquid. Repeat until the stain is removed.
